Lake Borumba (Borumba Dam)

Surrounded by national park and state forest, Lake Borumba (Borumba Dam) makes for an extremely popular outing for guests of Borumba Deer Park.

BORUMBA DAM DAY USE AREA

There are plenty of things to do at the Borumba Dam Day Use Area, however it’s important to take sufficient drinking water supplies as there is no potable water on-site.

In addition to being a fantastic spot for barbecues and picnics, activities regularly enjoyed at Lake Borumba include fishing, canoeing, rowing, wakeboarding, sailing, boating, water skiing, tubing and jetskiing.

FISHING

If you want to fish in Lake Borumba you will need a Stock Impoundment Permit (SIP) to do so and abide by Queensland recreational fishing regulations including size, take and possession limits.

As the lake is home to an abundance of wildlife, please be sure to properly dispose of all rubbish include fishing lines and hooks.

BOATING & OTHER ON-WATER ACTIVITIES

If you’re planning on boating or other on-water activities at Borumba Dam, please be sure to check lake condition updates from SEQwater – such as water levels, algae blooms or information about closures.

Please remain vigilant as conditions can change and also adopt a safety-first approach such as wearing a lifejacket.
